However, what we're actually creating is a cavitating vacuum bubble. Because we are working off of a frequency of 40 kHz, we're actually creating a minimum of 40,000 bubbles per second. The bubble makes contact to the surface (outer surface and/or inner surface), and implodes or collapses on contact. At the point of implosion, a vacuum occurs: hence, removing the contaminant (oil, grease, dirt, etc.). Ultrasound, in combination with hot water and soap, provides your cleaning.
